January 21st – Scout Skills at Raven Run – 10am
You don’t have to be a scout to learn and benefit from traditional scout skills. Whether it’s tying knots and lashings or using a map and compass, Raven Run’s Scout Skills program will benefit kids from all walks of life. This program is designed for boys and girls ages 10 years and older. Please call ahead to register for this program 859-272- 6105.

January 28th – Owl Prowl - 6pm
Raven Run is home to several different owl species including the screech owl, great horned owl and barred owl. Join us just before sunset as we hike around the park looking and listening for these nighttime birds. Be sure to dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes for this 1 – 1 1⁄2 hour hike. Bring binoculars and flashlight or head lamps. This program is weather dependent so call the park (859) 272-6105 before you head to the program.

February 4th – Volunteer Day at Raven Run – 10am
Come out and help the Sanctuary with some volunteer service. Volunteers might clear brush, pick up trash, mulch trails or engage in any other type of work that Raven Run might happen to need help with. Our volunteer day is weather dependent so please call us at (859) 272 – 6105 before you come out.

February 11th – Salamander Search - 1pm
Raven Run is home to several different salamanders. During late winter is a great time to try to find the stream-side salamander in the creeks at the park. Join us as we walk Raven Run creek in search of the stream-side salamander. Be sure to wear waterproof boots for this 1 1⁄2 hour program/hike. This program is weather dependent so call the park (859) 272-6105 before you head to the program.

Our Location

Open from everyday except Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the Day after Christmas.

From Lexington: Take Richmond Road east (out of town) and turn right onto highway 25 (Old Richmond Road, across from Jacobsen Park).  Go approximately 3 1/2 miles and turn right on to Jack's Creek Pike (at Judy Ray's Grocery Store).  Go about 5 1/2 miles on Jack's Creek Pike and Raven Run is located on the Left.  The entrance is marked by the sign atop the website.  An interactive map is available on the contacts page.
